The Cat’s Pyjamas Kindness

Changing lives, one story at a time
About
Hello, and a very warm welcome to our website.
My name is Tracy, and I am the founder of The Cats Pyjamas Kindness Co. Ltd, along with my lovely cat, ‘Bertie’. You may be wondering what we are about, where the name came from, and what exactly we do.
So this is where it started…
I have always had a passion for Storytelling, whether it’s telling a story, sharing a story I have been told, or listening to a story. I enjoy real-life stories, likewise I thoroughly enjoy fictional stories too.
After experiencing the loss of our son in 2002, I think I lost my purpose for a time. It was some years later that, to quote the late Ken Robinson, I rediscovered ‘my element’. My element is Storytelling! The name for The Cats Pyjamas came about whilst watching the film School of Rock! There is a lot more about all of this within the Blogs and Newsletters!
Bertie Cat is named after my dear father who was my inspiration, and a fantastic Storyteller.
“You could be the ugliest sad sack on the planet, but if you’re in a rocking band, you’re The Cat’s Pyjamas. You’re The bees knees” – Dewey Finn (Jack Black)
What the Cat’s Pyjamas does
The Cats Pyjamas is a place where you can come along to a Story-telling Event, a Storytelling Workshop, or enquire about holding a Storytelling Workshop at your Organisation or WorkPlace.
We work within spaces that are intimate, friendly and inviting. We will ensure that you feel at ease when you attend any of our events or workshops. Our Storytellers are people (just like you and me) that have a story to share, and a story that needs to be heard. You can read our testimonials, and look at our photographs of past events to see for yourself.
The Cats Pyjamas are here for you if:
- You feel unheard
- You want to surround yourself with uplifting messages
- You need a little support
- You wish to feel inspired and to learn
Our Events
Our Storytelling Events provide an opportunity for a person who has a great story, that is unheard to be shared. A chance to share their real-life experience with a supportive audience, in an intimate environment.
For those attending our Storytelling events, it is an opportunity to listen, learn, and embrace this unique space. There is an opportunity to engage in meaningful conversation and ask questions you may not have thought about previously. The intimate nature of these events means this time, is time well spent. You will leave feeling inspired, educated, and motivated.
Our Workshops provide an opportunity for you to learn a new skill, or find comfort in joining a group of people with similar interests to you. You will meet new friends, and embrace the chance to take-away new ideas, inspiration, and hope.

And So The Story begins…
I have seriously neglected my Blog here, so for that I have to apologise. You see I needed to take some time away and re-start. And so The ‘New’ Story Begins… I often wonder why anyone would want to listen to my story, or to anyone else’s for that matter. It’s a valid...
Humour and humility
A Story of Courage This story is about my Dad, a man who showed courage throughout his entire life. Born with quite a profound disability, he never let that define him, hinder him or stop him from having a sense of humour. I only ever knew my Dad as a ‘disabled...
Benefits of storytelling
